An influencer has the capacity have an effect on another person’s character, development or behaviour. An influencer can quietly and assuredly have a positive or negative influence on someone’s life, if that someone believes in them.
In the workplace, a senior position is not required to be an influencer, being an informal mentor or a coach and giving support to colleagues can also have a positive influence. Usually charismatic or having integrity can give an individual influence over those around them.
Adversely influence is crucial to be effective as a leader, as a leader is expected to lead and influence change in an organisation. By respecting others, being grateful and humble, others are motivated to emulate or follow their leader. Consequently, every interaction, conversation, reaction, attitude, and action can influence their followers.
