To have integrity is to have and to demonstrate particular values, morals and principles, a particular set of ethical convictions. Those who have integrity do the right thing in all circumstances, even if no one is watching them. They act in accordance with social and moral values within society.

People with integrity are authentic and stay true to themselves, never compromising their ethics or dishonoring their word. Often upright and consistent in character they are highly trusted and depended on. While it is possible to have honesty without integrity, integrity is not possible without the component of honesty.

In the workplace this is a highly desirable value as it fosters a positive workplace culture. A person who demonstrates moral and ethical principles is likely to be honest and trustworthy, thereby upholding the brand value and company cultural goals. Employees with integrity will stay focused on work, they apply their knowledge, skills and values, and consistently show respect to colleagues.
