It all starts with an introduction to the world of Deutsche Bank and the technical and soft skills you’ll need to make an impact. Your training will continue throughout the summer as you work on live projects, learning first-hand how we harness investment theory, quantitative tools and research to generate smarter investment solutions. Through a combination of classroom and on-the-job training, you’ll discover how we collaborate with investment specialists and external product partners to create innovative opportunities and offer advice. At every stage you’ll learn from our most senior leaders and network widely. And because our internships are a rich source of talent for the Deutsche Bank Graduate Programme, yours could also launch a career with us.
Based in one of the world’s global financial centers, you’ll support experienced professionals who develop products and manage high-value portfolios. Being placed in Deutsche Bank Wealth Management, you could be working as a Product Specialist, uncovering new investment opportunities, developing innovative strategies to address emerging challenges and helping to create timely investment solutions. Or helping our Research Analysts identify companies and sectors that might be good investments for our clients. Your learning curve will be steep as you help manage high-value portfolios. But you’ll enjoy plenty of support from managers and mentors along with unparalleled global exposure.
The skills you'll need
Our interns come from all degree disciplines but whatever your subject, strong analytical skills are a must, as is a deep interest in capital markets, investments and credit. Just as vital is a flair for establishing rapport and building relationships as the trust our clients have in us is fundamental to long-term investing. We’ll also look for the ability to make sound decisions, even under pressure, and the determination to learn quickly and build a long-term career as a business leader.
