The Summer Analyst Programme runs for 10 weeks from the end of June. While on the programme, candidates will undertake 3 rotations, each lasting 3 weeks. These will be in both Fixed Income and Equities and will give candidates the opportunity to experience a range of roles such as Sales, Trading, Structuring and Research.
3 days of classroom based product and technical training
Weekly 2 hour work shadowing sessions across all areas
Opportunity to rotate across various desks within equities and fixed income product areas
Individual and group project assignments
Senior management speaker series and MD Introductions
Mentor and buddy support
Presentation Projects, Trading and Sales Games
Regular evaluation and feedback throughout the programme
Varying pre-planned projects using a variety of academic and personal skills designed to allow interns to demonstrate their capabilities and improve the productivity and efficiency of the desk they are rotating on. In addition, interns will shadow experienced Morgan Stanley employees to gain a broader understanding of the function of the desk.
Qualifications / Skill / Requirements
We accept penultimate-year undergraduate students with outstanding academic achievements, and a minimum of 2.1 honours. We welcome applicants from all degree disciplines especially those with a keen interest in the financial markets.
The selection process consists of two stages, including interviews and an assessment centre. At the assessment centre, candidates can expect to be assessed in a number of exercises comprising a group exercise, a presentation exercise, a numerical reasoning test, and interviews with senior management from the division.
