Who we are and what we do

We’re more than 375,000 people working in over 200 cities across 56 countries around the globe. A world-leading organisation, we provide consultancy and technology expertise to some of the biggest names in just about every industry you can imagine. Clients come to us to make more of their business opportunities, adapt successfully to change, put ideas into action and gain – or sustain – a competitive edge. With our knowledge of the markets, understanding of the power of technology and ability to shape and implement transformational solutions, we do just that. We work with 4,000 companies and 91 of the Fortune Global 100. As a growing firm we need talented students like you to join us.

Technology Industrial Placement

Our Technology Industrial Placement has been designed specifically for budding software engineers. It’s a 12-month programme and starts with a formal induction and a four-week training programme where you’ll study technologies including Java, Digital, Dev Ops, testing and SAP (ABAP). Then we’ll assign you to a project where you’ll build your skills on the job.

Over the course of the placement, you’ll gain exposure to many different assignments from development to deployment. By the end of the year, you could be ICTTech-certified – you’ll certainly have gained some valuable experience and hopefully have an offer to join us when you graduate.

What’s in it for you

As well as the prospect of a great career centred around improving the way the world works and lives, you can look forward to a competitive salary and other benefits. These may include generous holiday allowance, an interest-free season ticket loan, subsidised gym membership and a personal laptop. You’ll also be part of a vibrant graduate community with training, support and social events.

What we’re looking for

This placement is undertaken in the third year of a four-year course and you will need to apply in your second year. You’ll probably be studying towards a degree in a subject such as computer science or another technology-focused discipline, although we also welcome applications from students with maths/science/engineering related bachelor degrees.

You’ll have a real passion for technology and how it can be used. This may even have led you to gain exposure in programming languages such as C++, SQL, Java, Visual Basic or .NET, and operating systems such as Unix. Overall, we’re looking for a willingness to try new things, a desire for self-improvement and a strong work ethic.
